You have to take a life. Then that life force will merge with your own. This will bring you happiness, for a while. And then the cycle repeats.

depends on the cause, but any further specifications of your circumstance I'd say your best is serving your 'primitive urges' - meaning: you're a biological being. You were build for a certain environment and certain action and if you stray off to far from your nature you will get side-effects. Try getting some sunlight, maybe exercise, go out into nature, flig some shit around, stuff a banana up your face and scream around like a retard.

Feeling sad and self-loathing will just make you more sad. Don't do it. Think about other stuff.

listen to this man, OP. The younger the life the better because it hasn't used up all the happiness yet.

Not science related

For what its worth, I was part of a medical psilocybin study, and while the experiences themselves weren't life-changing, my default emotional state became neutral with a positive bent. All anecdotal, I know, but something to consider. Never did enough to have what they call an "ego death", but I gained this new tingling in the back of my head, neck, and shoulders that has not faded away in the last two years; I have more energy at 30 than I did at 23, I keep up on general cleaning and hygiene (whereas before I was your typical 4chan walking stereotype), people in my personal life made comments on how I had become more positive and outgoing, and I have dated more than I ever did before that study.

From that video's description:
>Synopsis: No sentient being in the evolutionary history of life has enjoyed good health as defined by the World Health Organization.
Yeah that's cuz the dickheads who work at the WHO purport things like housing is a human right. These WHO people are just commies coming up with excuses to steal other people's things.

>The very concept of happiness requires contrast
Pondering, suppose someone regularly takes cocaine. Supposedly their brain circuit that controlls dopamine release will have it's weights readjusted such that a higher dose of cocaine is required for the same effects.

What if we (somehow, genetic engineering probably) disabled this functionality of readjustment? It would seem to me to do away with the need for a higher dose of cocaine for the same effects.

I find the concept of being a safe and responsible "social line snorter" to be a laughable one.
Do you have any evidence that this is a plausible endeavor that you might actually acheive or are we being figurative?
