Since the 1940's the tech has been developed to the point where the US has it's own space fleet.
This is why the US has abandoned traditional space rockets. It just didn't make sense to waste that much money simply to maintain a cover, but they couldn't abandon space travel and abandon the hope of the public. So now rockets are now part of the public sector.

I really like this photo because you can see a circle, bubble, or force field surrounding the UFO.

Commander David Fravor who witnessed the UFO described it as hovering over the water, and the water directly under it was "boiling away." Water only boils due to high temperature or very low air pressure. If these craft do in fact generate a bubble around them that pushes away the aether, effectively separating them from our space time, then the bubble surrounding the craft would be a space of true vacuum, not false vacuum but true vacuum. I think that could be one possible explanation the extreme low air pressure that's causing the water to rapidly boil/evaporate.

There's a strong argument that they don't. If real, then it is likely that they operate against the laws of physics and general reality, under a phenomena known as High Strangeness. None of the reported sightings match up in ways that would indicate some commonality, but there are repeated themes. e.g. "Paralyzing wands" used by both fey folk and modern aliens, and of course UFO's themselves which have pilots that range from literal Humans to bizarre robots. With each new sighting it becomes less and less likely it is "real", and yet the evidence keeps piling up.
tl;dr it is possible humanity is being psyopped by who knows what.
