probably something like water stream on the outside causes it to spin fast enough to climb against the water stream on the inside
or vice versa
or it somehow exploits some speed differential between the inner and outer stream (this has to be it right? otherwise it would just fall with the stream)

99% of youtube "shorts" are tricks/jokes and this one is no exception. there is monofilament line that goes through the faucet and is attached to the spiral. he pulls it on the other end, bringing the spiral up.
does no one notice that's obviously a bathtub yet the faucet is clearly not a tub faucet?

I've been watching so much pop-sci science youtubers that I have a sunconscious need to have a Steve Mould video about this.

So my theory is that it probably falls like that downward on the stream, and the fake videos are made by recording it fall and reversing the video. I would want to try this in real life if I had a 3D printer.
