15926993 No.15926993 [Reply] [Original]

How the fuck isn't humanity pouring more resources into attaining immortality? Shouldn't that be the primary fucking concern? Get as many biologists and DNA engineers into fixing this problem?

Can we start a movement? Ask some governments to allocate more money for this issue? Poke Elon Musk on Twitter? Or Bezos/Gates/Arnault? Surely they would like the fame/potential money from this project once completed? Elon does engage with people on Twitter, right? I think 4chan has potential to make history here. Could we make that as a potential general thread?

Genetic engineering is more important. Immortality is not as advantageous as it prevents genetic adaptability.

I know what individualist means, but I don't see the relevance here. Both collectivists and individualists would profit from immortality. Unless you're that much afraid of overpopulation, but people all over the world are already procreating less because people want more free time and money for themselves(yes, to CONSOOM you /pol/tard nigger, somehow enjoying yourself is supposed to be a bad thing).

you don't have to justify it dude. do it so you can jack off for eternity. do it so you watch sunsets for eternity, on random planets. doesn't matter why, they are weak faggots trying to oppose anything useful, that is a primitive power play. if you can mess shit up, ask for something in return for not doing it.
that's where this behavior stems from, they sense it something big and try to get something out of it. the whole thing is you not falling for it lol.

I don’t think it’s really accepted by the general public that age is a treatable issue. They’re wrong, of course, but they just accept that it’s not a medically treatable condition. That’s likely to change in the near future because there are plans to get pet food on the market which will treat age in dogs. The FDA is on board with this so far, and this is important for two reasons:
1. It’s the first time the FDA will give approval to a medicine treating age itself, which sets precedent for new treatments to follow.
2. If people can see the effect that this has on their dogs, then this will make it very real and will seriously change the way people view age.
However for a more serious answer as to why we don’t dump everything into this - it’s just because we also need other stuff too. If age turns out to be an extremely complicated problem in humans then we might not accomplish much even in a century, but we’ll still need lots of other things to keep society going.

ah you fear immortal idiots so you have to kill them in consequence? lol the audacity. when will you choose to off yourself then? you will do it anon right? you will kill yourself when the time comes, right? you are not going to actually cheat and get immortal, but still try to get everybody else to off themselves. you couldn't possibly do that, and we should trust that you know it's for the better, you becoming immortal and keeping humanity safe from immortality desiring idiots. won't you anon?

no, my point is that such procedure should become a human fucking right. if a single fucking soul becomes immortal, we all have the right to. not to the chance of working 100 years to get the money to be able to get the procedure. but it becoming a basic human right there should be a clear path towards getting there, offering it as a basic human right. (which can still be lost, laws and all that).
you can see the issue I'm pointing out, trying to avoid a fucking dystopia scenario which can easily be avoided with making it a basic human right, everywhere on the planet.

>> No.15927333

interesting to see how this shit will play out. on one hand you have tptb who can get immortal and cull plebs after replacing them with AI.
you also have plebs who can eat the rich, and set up AI to manage us. and become immortal.
or everybody gets along and decide we should all do it.

Trying to eat meat? Consider yourself lucky if you get grasshoppers

in this scenario, plebs have basically 80 years to try and get the immortality juice, one way or another. with AI robots in the mix. what could go wrong
