How does the massive flow of sewage out of the Ganges/Brahmaputra delta impact the ecology, wildlife and geology of the affected region?

I bet that stuff that ends up on the antarctic shoreline never decays, theres probably layered 5000 year old deposits of ganges river fecal output frozen in time that could be investigated for some scientific purpose if anyone was interested in doing something like that.

It makes me wonder if India has been spewing feces into the ocean for centuries, then perhaps everything has adapted to it.

Ignoring the fake map, the problem with feces in the ocean isn't that it harms the ocean, but it depletes the land. Better have septic tanks than sewers that empty to a river or the sea untreated.

Fake maps aside, fish/algae/plankton eat fish poop all the time.
Human feces is not different, and while humans can get sick or die from e. Coli in seawater, most ocean life is unaffected or able to adapt and survive.

Plastic/garbage/chemicals are much more detrimental to ocean life than human shit.

This. Things will eat the shit or use it as an energy source. Any organic matter is gonna get used by something so the bigger issue is shit that isn't since that'd be more damaging. Fertilizer for example is shit. So I'm sure algae love it.
