Also, your image is full of falsehoods.

There are many near-complete large dinosaur skeletons, and there are indeed complete small dinosaur skeletons.

The chinese have been finding dinossaur fossil bines for millenia, thatshow the dragon lore in zChina came to be. They even used to grind the dinosaur fossil bones (lol) for medicinal purpose.

The assembled dinosaur skeletons can real fossil bones, casts from actual bones, or 3d printed replicas, or a combination of all those.

Obviously, if you actually want to see a dinosaur dig, then you have to go yourself to an actual dig. You can volunteer at museums, or you can go and study paleontology yourself.

Here in Portugal, there is an area so rich in dinosaur bones (Lourinhã formation, look it up) that you can literally walk along the sea cliffs and find dinosaur bones and dinosaur bone fragments.
It's so easy that fossil theft is starting to become a huge problem, with people raiding fossil finds with power tools to remove the bones and sell them on the black market.

99% grift

like, there are dinosaur fossils that are found. sometimes there are enough left to get a vague idea of the beast's body parts. other times there are entire fossils for some of the smaller ones.

but the dinosaur industry takes these small trace remnants and runs wild with it, imagining giant dragon-like monsters that must be the source of the bone pieces, then filling in the rest of the bones with plaster casts loosely based on cool animals like birds and crocodiles.

It originates in the victorian era with a bunch of rich 19th century european bullshitters who just made up whatever absurd theories sounded good from a limited set of facts, while most of the 'science' these assholes came up with was thoroughly debunked there was way too much money in the dinosaur industry to ever challenge its claims (not to mention emotional attachment, imagine explaining to the average american that the giant lizards they had toys of growing up were actually make believe just like the avengers, you'd be ridiculously unpopular someone would probably shoot you)

Then, you have retards like the dudes in this thread trying to troll by pretending to be christians and denying the fossils exist at all because it's not in the bible; which is so obviously retarded it pushes people back to blindly accept the grift

in recent decades a few brave souls have questioned the farce and pointed out that actually the fossils probably are just from large birds, they've been quickly booed offstage and hollywood covered up the damage with more CGI dinosaur movies that now have a couple feathers on the giant imaginary dragon lizard monsters

Sometimes complete small dinosaur skeletons are found. Rarely, even large near-complete dinossaur skeletons are found.

> based on cool animals like birds and crocodiles.
No, based on other skeletons of the same species that had those parts preserved, or based on closely-related and very similar species. Imagine for example, that you find the near-complete skeleton of a type of dinosaur and its rear legs are missing. It's a plausible assumption to illustrate the missing parts RESEMBLING the parts of a closely-related dinosaur that we already know of.
None of this is hidden, it is EXPLICITLY published for you to read, and everyone knows that they are just illustrative reconstructions. OBVIOUSLY, no one knows for sure what the real parts looked like if they are never found!

>imagine explaining to the average american that the giant lizards they had toys of growing up were actually make believe
They have. Many past hypotethises and assumptions about dinossaurs did not stand up to the test of novel discoveries. What you described has literally happend many, many times, from their posture, locomotion, their metabolism, their growth rates, to their feeding, to their netsing, to their skin covering, everything has much advanced since the first days of dinosaur paleontology that you described.

Late-cretaceous theropods were more like toothed birds than upright lizards, so that's not the right way to think about dinosaurs. In fact, dinosaurs are evolutionarily closed to birds than to reptiles.
They were most likely warm-blooded, but we're not sure yet, though some evidence points to that conclusion.

This is fallacious from the start. Christians place a high value on humility, that's not the same as claiming to be humble - which would not be humble anyway. I have no fear of dying. Only pain associated with dying is scary, and that is temporary. What's the point of fearing the inevitable? It wouldn't be anymore logical for a Christian than an atheist. He described people with God-complex as being aloof, self-important, overconfident, auto-erotic, inaccessible, self-admiring, and exhibitionistic, with fantasies of omnipotence and omniscience. >> No.15913495

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bone_Wars

The Bone Wars, also known as the Great Dinosaur Rush,[1] was a period of intense and ruthlessly competitive fossil hunting and discovery during the Gilded Age of American history, marked by a heated rivalry between Edward Drinker Cope (of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia) and Othniel Charles Marsh (of the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale). Each of the two paleontologists used underhanded methods to try to outdo the other in the field, resorting to bribery, theft, and the destruction of bones. Each scientist also sought to ruin his rival's reputation and cut off his funding, using attacks in scientific publications.

Easy to see the potential for fraud here, imho. It almost at the level of competing carnival attractions or something lol.

>> No.15913505

>>15913495
Despite their advances, the Bone Wars also had a negative effect not only on the two scientists but also on their peers and the entire field.[79] The public animosity between Cope and Marsh harmed the reputation of American paleontology in Europe for decades. Furthermore, the reported use of dynamite and sabotage by employees of both men may have harmed fossil remains,[4] though later excavation suggests that some of the damage was exaggerated in order to dissuade competition.[80] Joseph Leidy abandoned his more methodical excavations in the West, finding he could not keep up with Cope's and Marsh's reckless searching for bones.[4] Leidy also grew tired of the constant squabbling between the two men, with the result that his withdrawal from the field marginalized his own legacy; after his death, Osborn found not a single mention of the man in either of the rivals' works.[81] In their haste to outdo each other, Cope and Marsh haphazardly assembled the bones of their own discoveries. Their descriptions of new species, based on their reconstructions, led to confusion and misconceptions that lasted for decades after their deaths.[82]

Also wiki says one of them was single handedly responsible for the discovery of 56 species, but the other had 80. C'mon lol. That outpaces any other scientific field in existence. Scam.
