A few years back I wanted to move to sweden so I started learning the language, ended up enjoying it greatly.
Beautiful language, easy too, I was able to get to a full b1 level under 6 months by just studying 2-3 hours a week.

While in Germany I made a swedish friend that eventually invited us to stay at his waterfront place in stockholm.
When I was there it had already been over a year since I stopped learning swedish. However, by simple contact with the language I was able to pick back up some things pretty quickly, for example I was at a birthday party and a lady gave a speech and I udnerstood most of it, which shocked me and greatly impressed the Swedes, they all loved me, already pretty friendly swedes became x100 nicer when they learned I actually knew their language a tiny bit, it was pretty damn wholesome.
So yeah, learning swedish is definitely worth it if you plan on living there, even if they all speak really good English
