how to express cyclical motion and natural, physically correct walking (or any action) POSES in a repeating frame?

without using 3d models. just inferring from...an image perhaps.

go watch a video of people walking.
trace or use software to trace their joints as they walk.
move the frame as if they're walking on a treadmill.
You know have a cylic path for each joint, all around the center of mass of the person.
Apply it to your gay animation

easy said than done. i 'm trying to build something more modular. like 3d but not. real work stuff.

no problem with roto either but i guess this is more closer to simulation.
