Is tea useful as a nootropic?

I have read about people getting high from drinking tea (not sure how true that is) and I have also heard about Matcha tea giving a pleasant feeling because it has both caffeine and relaxing properties.

And my question is, can I just go to the supermarket and, by buying some piss poor quality tea bags, achieve anything similar to this? I'm looking for something to help me be hyperfocused AND relaxed.

Black tea will give you your daily recommended intake for Fluoride.

Yes, just like or sometimes more than coffee depending on many things.

You need a good organic green tea.
It's not a good subject for a thread, simply do a web search or a Q&A.
In addition you can get L-theanine, taurine, etc.

theanine and taurine on their own barely do anything for your brain even in extremely large amounts. they only impact very specific diseases. I doubt tea does a whole lot

there are just a lot of brainlets coping that they're dumb because of nutrition

ironically the best nootropic is nicotine and it still doesn't do much

No nicotine is crap, you have no clue, and ltheanine does help you relax. Whether or not that helps you focus depends on the situation and person. Tea has caffeine and is very useful and there's enough evidence.

Yes. 125 million Japanese and 67 million British cannot be wrong.
>I have read about people getting high from drinking tea (not sure how true that is)
Depraved Russians abuse tea concentrate.
>And my question is, can I just go to the supermarket and, by buying some piss poor quality tea bags, achieve anything similar to this?
Well, yes, but I would not do that. Buy some loose leaf teas instead. Lipton's yellow is fine. Earl grey is nice but the taste makes you want to change after a while. I like Darjeeling tea but this is more expensive.
For high power work, I recommend Japanese green tea, specifically Sencha. Do not buy Macha, it is extremely bitter and the colour will make you think you have brewed up something highly radioactive. Just don't make it too strong and don't drink too much of it.
>I'm looking for something to help me be hyperfocused AND relaxed.
Tea is the choice for the gentleman of refined taste and culture.

How credible is that? It appears to be a rework of raw data from another site, which in turn is based on self reported data.
Also, I had no idea weightlifting would have an effect.

Look up gongfu style brewing, that's what you're talking about people getting high from tea.
You use a ton of tea leaves and remove the caffeine so you can megadose the other xanthines.

Matcha is good because it's instant but you have to make an iced latte for it to taste good, blenderbottle works.

The only nootropics that work are: amphetamine, caffeine and nicotine. In that order from best to worst.

The air force uses modafinil instead of amphetamine now, you know.

Even the Japanese find Matcha rather bitter, so it is custom to serve an omochi to the luminous green tea in order to compensate. I'd rather spend that extra minute to make Sencha tea.

amphetamine doesn't make you smarter, it only makes you more energetic, but the shit people babble under the influence of amphetamine is all retarded.
Weed on the other hand...
