i've wondered about this, what if you remain calm during your characters death? like when you're having a nightmare where you're about to get stabbed and wake up at the last second, but instead you assert to yourself that its only a simulation and just let it happen? i feel like you'd need an iron will to pull it off and the only examples i have are anime so idk
