ITT: Your favorite planet, a picture of it, and why you like it so much.

Planet: Mars
Picture: Picture taken by a Mars Rover
Reason: "Mars is a world of wonders."
-Carl Sagan
Mars is so great because there are so many things to explore. Not to mention the fact that it looks great through a telescope. I simply love Mars so much. Also, because the pictures taken from the surface make you reflect so much. I once stared at a picture similar to this (But taken from Venus) for 10 minutes, just thinking about the fact that it's a picture from another planet.

1. Get a big bottle of water, and some sunscreen.
2. Go to the Mojave desert, somewhere around the 29 Palms area.
3. Spend as much time as you want until you get sick of it. I'm willing to bet four hours.

Whatever, I never thought about this, so I guess I don't have a favorite planet. Therefore, lack of picture related.

This one alright I guess, you have to travel across the entire crescent nebula to get to it though, using almost half the Normandy's fuel

Lots of resources!

Venus

It's the most Earth-like planet we know of, after Earth. The fact the Upper atmosphere has a similar temperature, gravity and pressure as the surface of the Earth makes it a good contender for early colonization as well. It's also a lot more exciting. Everyone cares about Mars although it's little more than the Moon 2.0, but Venus is still full of mysteries and exciting technical challenges to overcome.

>> No.1567263

>>1567253
Good choice. Only problem with Venus is that our landers can never survive longer than like an hour. TOO MUCH PRESSURE FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-

Planet: Neptune
Reason(s): It looks so cool, being all blue and stuff.

>>1567150
If it's smaller than earth, it will have less mass (unless it's more dense), so wouldn't the people be taller?

>> No.1567316

>>1567309
Might not, due to pressure.

Also, Neptune is my 2nd favorite planet. That dark blue is so great looking, and it has lots of ice, and I read an article talking about how diamonds form in it's atmosphere. Or that might have been Uranus, I dunno lol.
