This summer has felt pretty cool to me and I am in the southeast US. We didn't run the AC pretty much all of June. We had a quite hot week a few weeks ago but it has been pretty normal/cooler than normal for July. Hell I've got the windows open and the AC off right now. Then I turn on NPR and they explain to me how the world is on fire and temperatures across the US are at a tipping point. Did you guys know that it is hot as hell in Phoenix, Arizona? It is crazy.
I am completely agnostic and disinterested about climate change/etc. But I do think the way weather/etc and how it is now politicized is very interesting. I think it is mostly a combination of retard rousing/wrangling and downward management of expectations of QoL going forward.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1540_European_drought

For eleven months, there was practically no rain, temperatures were five to seven degrees [Celsius] [9–13 °F] above the normal values for the 20th century, in many places summer temperatures must have exceeded 40 °C (104 °F). Many forests in Europe went up in flames, choking smoke darkened the sun, not a single thunderstorm was reported in the summer of 1540. Water was already scarce in May, wells and springs dried up, mills stood still, people starved, livestock was slaughtered. Estimates are that in 1540 half a million people died, mostly from dysentery.

Everything began in northern Italy, with a winter that felt like a July. Not a single drop fell from October 1539 to early April 1540. Then the drought advanced north. ... July brought such a frightful ember-like heat that churches made prayers while the Rhine, Elbe and Seine could be waded through without getting one's feet wet. Where there was still water, the warm broth acquired a green colour, and dead fish floated belly-up. Water levels in Lake Constance sank to record low levels, and Lindau actually became connected to the mainland. Soon the surface water had completely evaporated, soils broke up, some dry cracks were so wide that a foot would fit into them. ...

The first grapes were already ripe by 12 August, in Alsace fruit trees bloomed a second time, in Lindau it was actually enough for a second cherry harvest. At Lake Constance and in Bayreuth wine eventually became cheaper than water, and in Limoges winemakers were harvesting roasted grapes, from which they obtained sherry-like wine, which ... made one quickly drunk.

1976 was the hottest summer in Europe during the modern era. If CO2 is really a greenhouse gas and there is currently 50% more CO2 in the atmosphere than there was in 1976 then it is statistically impossible that 1976 would be the hottest summer on record, but it is, which means that CO2 must not be a greenhouse gas.

The anger and frustration you're feeling is cognitive dissonance, reality doesn't ring true the way you belief system says it does. When you experience cognitive dissonance you can either get angry and emotional over it and try to ignore the fact that your system of belief does not dovetail with observed reality or you can accept that your beliefs are wrong and use the cognitive dissonance as a means of learning and bringing you worldview more in tune with reality. you have that backwards.
the cloud seeding was done by SO2 from ships across the ocean.
look up "ship trails from space" to see pictures of the clouds.

in 2020 we banned this fuel use so those clouds are gone.
the ocean tempature has spiked and thats actaully terrifying.
We thought we were doing damage but this was covering up how bad the issue is. the so2 was helping

we have to start purposely geoengineering now to fix it if we dont want catastrophy

So, SO2 could be damaging and it could be covering up other issues.
If the ship trails were never a thing to begin with would you be posting for "purposely geoengineering now to fix it"?

no its more of we dont have an option.
we have been geoengineering for decades now, and to remove it seems to be tipping the scale incredibly hard.
if this doesnt just calm down we could completely break free from the normal expected cycle.

were redlining right now

Im not suggesting we should.
Im saying if we dont go back in 'some way' we could see exponetnial change very quickly. which might not even be possible to fix quickly.

also correction, so2 is just a insulator/cloud seeder in this case it seems.
no real suggestion about it being the damaging part of coal burning. thats more the co2

simply these clouds were there, blocked the ocean, and now they dont. and we have this. its not the only factor but its a huge section of the earth now getting lit up by the sun when it hasnt for probably 30 years or more?

Greta Thunberg is not a professional and the tweet is linking to a website that is misqouting a professor. The actual claim was that we cant avoid the worst effects of climate change like loss of permanent ice in the arctic regardless of any mitigating actions we might employ if we dont act quickly enough and this is due to a self amplifying process called positive feedback.
