Hey /sci/, I haven't taken calculus yet, but I am going to take it when this semester starts and I was wondering if anyone has any advice maybe?

I don't really have trouble with math and it boggles my mind why so many people say it is so difficult. Is calculus actually difficult or is it just exaggeration?

The only related pic I could find

I'm going to assume you're in high school.

If so, high school calculus is so damn easy, anyone with half a brain could do it.

It's more difficult than earlier math classes because you are no longer given a formula for everything. A good instructor will expect you think a little before actually doing any calculus.

Idk, maybe to ask for opinions and/or advice on a subject I would think most of /sci/ would know about.

calc I in university is not that hard, II and III were kinda challenging though, just pay attention to the professor and read the book and you'll be fine.

I taught high school calculus. you'll be fine with a strong background in algebra.

in particular, people don't know the distributive property of multiplication over addition, or laws of algebraic exponents. a calc student has to be able to use both of those with no problems... it's middle school (or perhaps ninth grade) stuff.
