Yeah. IQ tests will share a similar structure, so if you just practice the sort of skills they're demanding. To pretend you can encapsulate the intelligence of a human by doing some basic pattern recognition test is ridiculous. We are possessing real minds, not computer programs.

Contrary to Reddit you can raise your literal intelligence, and not just your occupying intelligence. The health of the synapse and other components of information connection are the reason you’re retarded. I’m not going to get into an argument with Reddit but fundamentally it boils down to how we can get the brain to 1) Build healthier and better quality during life, 2) Modify the chemical makeup of neural connection for higher acuity, 3) stimulate the brain internally or externally to induce higher function, like NOOBtropics or devices, and 4) reorganize and redefine our current understood beliefs about IQ and overall intelligence.

My personal quack is that we can create severe localized trauma to the brain, allowing it to develop better promising pathways that allow greater comprehension and better function, but that is more occult through science than science itself.

Given how vulnerable infants and are during the first years of their development, how is it that there aren’t more cognitively disabled people in this world. Those with mental retardation only make up 1-3% of the US population. Just the slightest fuck up during pregnancy, delivery, or the first few years of life can have permanent consequences.

Also, for someone who was diagnosed as mentally retarded, would a MRI be able to detect some sort of brain anomaly? Provided this person isn’t a downie, nor do they suffer from some apparent genetic disorder, they were just abnormally slow (kind of like Forest Gump).

As for mental retardation, it just means iq under 70. It could happen for a million different reasons. At an early age it’s just called developmental delay and could also be reversed. For example, delay is often a result of fluids in the ears, which could cause a child to be assigned an iq under 70 which would get resolved rapidly upon timely surgery. Retardation could be a result of lack of development along these lines. If a child is somewhat deaf and isn’t treated for this, they could end up and adult with retardation despite not having any other physical flaws.
