Also, it looks like this "study" refers to authoritarianism in general, which is only a certain part of whatever political family it's under (even right-wing authoritarianism is only a certain part of it). And the abstract is actually talking about (bad faith) political opportunism, which is... honestly, ubiquitous to politics as an entire field, and not the least bit exclusive to any political ideology (right, left, etc).
