He believes in science, while simultaneously ignoring the outliers because theoretical stats > anecdotal (real) evidence

Are scientists the most arrogant of people?

If your mom lived to 800, scientists would ignore her and just consider he to be an outlier, instead of admitting their science is bullshit, that’s the point

No, they'd have her in a basement laboratory surrounded by the military doing constant tests on her trying to figure out how she's still alive.

As you are a shit person, your anecdotal evidence is irrelevant.

I don't think any true scientist would consider themselves arrogant. They need to be prepared to throw out all of their work when a better model comes along.

That takes a degree of humillity.

>> No.15448120

>>15448086
Most arrogant people will not consider themselves arrogant. In reality one just needs to look at someone like Dawkins, Huberman, Attia, Krauss, Dennett (not a scientist but academic?) and they all speak with an authoritative voice, lecturing us about the truth or something. There is really no hint of humility.

>They need to be prepared to throw out all of their work when a better model comes along.
they never do, they just kill the career of anyone who comes up with better ideas by abuse the peer review system to silence dissent
>That takes a degree of humillity.
they don't have that, that why they need to abuse the peer review system to maintain the status quo at all costs

In science you are not supposed to ignore the outliers. It is something you note, and try to find out why it is happening.

When the spinning ball-Earth is finally exposed worldwide for the 400+ year deception it was, Earth's entire population will suddenly be faced with the reality that every government, every space agency, university, secret society, religious organization, mainstream and alternative media outlet have ALL been duplicitous in propping up a monstrous manipulation to fleece and control the masses. The resulting mass mental exodus away from the control system is exactly what humanity needs. Once the flat Earth truth gets out, these lying politicians, spokesmen, reporters and teachers suddenly change from being heralded voices of authority to being ridiculed, shunned and denounced as they deserve. Once the flat Earth truth gets out, these governments, universities, media outlets and other entangled organizations which have long been hard at work weaving this multi-generational ball-Earth myth, suddenly and completely lose all credibility. Once the truth of our flat Earth gets out, so does the truth of these few elite families/societies who have kept this most important and fundamental reality from us for these hundreds of years! Essentially, once the flat Earth truth gets out, so does every other important truth by proxy, because this "mother-of-all-conspiracies" holds under its umbrella literally ALL of the other conspiracies, and exposes them.

Aren't their strict guidelines for what p values are needed to be certain that the hypothesis is confirmed? For medical science it needs to be lower than for other sciences so I've learned.

>>15446567
Be a little more skeptical of the underdog as well please. For example: carnivore doctors complain that the science is rigged, but don't take the initiative to design and execute a study themselves. Any comment and suggestion to do so gets ignored. Isn't that dishonest as well?

brainlet OP
Hear me out

Our understanding of p values is often bullshit and mathematical cope, and at the end of the day, our conclusions are really based on our assumptions about the population, trust in our sampling methods, our ideology that life can be reduced to simple machinery, biomechanical devices.

Here’s an example of the point I’m trying to convey, correct my brainlet interpretation if you have a bigger brainlet: vax is safe for most people, but for some outliers, it can be fatal. Science(tm) will and did brush off people’s anecdotal evidence, when for these exact same people, the average safety is of no importance since they themselves suffered consequences from it. It’s like the inferential data is more important than the anecdote, when in reality, to that single person, the anecdote/personal experience is what is actually true, and the average data is useless to them. Blabla public policy, but the idea is that medicine/biology is usually so simplistic and mechanistic that it reduces the truth to an interpretation of a p (probability) value, generated from who knows what data sample.

They argue that outliers are more at risk dying from covid than from the vax. Any study that suggests that vaxing has an unfavorable risk/benefit ratio is criticized into oblivion.

stop asking for stoodies. the only study you can trust is your own performed by yourself, not even the one you pay for. you don't need any study to avoid jabs with unknown content. the only jabs you can trust are ones you make (like drugs).
