I wasn't entering the sophist contest here, I had never heard of microclots before and was ready to accept their existence, just not their "link" to the vax yet. I was simply dropping a joke and going away from the thread being sarcastic as there's so much thrown around akin to "the vax gives you x" and x can be about everything this pale blue marble can give, It gets hard to take anything seriously. At this point I'm just waiting for a tabula rasa to happen and for when everyone (mostly) agrees and we have more unbiased studies from multiple angles. As of now It's all mumbo jumbo and a screaming contest full of cherry picks and study twisting headlines, not to forget, this overall animosity from both sides and this bile filled willingness to hurt the other.

It's better to sit back and observe until sufficient facts are known. I've been doing this with the pandemic but the masses are heavily invested in polarising the issues. For example it's impossible to state an opinion that isolation works but masks don't. I suspect that the people who disagree with masks (many at least) know that isolation works, but they don't want to do it, so they attack. The other side is irrationally terrified and they need to believe that masks work and that they can be protected while they are forced into performing their duties. I have no interest in convincing anyone of anything but I do share my opinions and seek reasonable and neutral opinions also. Maybe it's just the ability to be individual.

this 100% happened, at an incidence rate that was ~3 extra people per 100000 compared to the standard population (so 4/100000, to 7) almost neglible but very real.

Thing is, once they learned the mechanism and how to solve it, it became by far the safest vax. Certainly not pleasant if you had that reaction, but perfectly treatable.

But the reputational damage was done and all the countries quickly abandoned it.
