I would say that it is not really practical to learn from it. After learning math, it would not be a waste of time to study it for breadth of learning but to do the initial learning from it seems like a terrible idea, IMO.

I would also say that the regular USA math curriculum that I went through (pre-Common Core) was pretty good and it is the one I recommend. People who pursue advanced study seem inclined to pick up some layer of severe retardation beyond the BS in Mathematics, but, from what I can see, everything up to the Math BS at least is pretty good.

Thanks, I'll load this up on the kindle. Usually I buy "archaic translations" for books like Iliad and Odessey or I Ching as I feel like I get a better sense of the original meanings. Ive gotten good at "translating" it while I read but for the math and geometry stuff (Kepler or Pythagoras) ugh...its too disjointed.
