I once met a Native American who was a 'crow talker'

She knew the crow's language and could communicate with them. Apparently it's very context sensitive.
She didn't want to show off her abilities because without the right context it'll just confuse and anger them, and you don't want to make enemies with a crow. They can remember faces and WILL tell their friends about you.

She did do a basic crow call and summoned half a dozen in a few seconds which was pretty cool to see.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'd like to add I think the word "language" may be very very generous.

She only shared with us 4 types of crow caws and their meanings, and I wonder if that's all she knew, or if that's all that there is to their language, or if that's all that she shared with us.
I think it was something like 2 caws for a greeting. I forget if it was 3 or 4 caws was "hey there's 'something' here you should see." Again it's context sensitive. This is the one she used to summon the crows, which is actually a little deceitful on her part because there was nothing of interest for the crows. It did get their attention though. If they ever crow more than 4 times it's usually a sign of danger or distress. I forget what the 4th "phrase" she taught us was. It was a very long time ago.
