The Unified equation was predicted to be "elegant". Evolution theory is a simple concept too. The complexity from both is something called "emergent complexity".

One of the wildest things I saw in this model was how the Coulomb barrier emergently appears around the "simulated particles". I don't think Gary even noticed it at first. If I remember correctly an anon had to point it out to him. That and when an anon reproduced this model in 3d for the first time and matter / antimatter pairs spontaneously emerged was when I started taking this seriously. Like I said, even if it's not *the theory of everything* I think it should be taken seriously at least as a "toy model" worth investigating.

I don't think it's unexpected at all, since second derivatives also compute the mean between f(x+dx) and f(x-dx), and then subtract f(x) to get the increment. Apply that for all of space and you get a gradient, apply that for all of time and you basically just get a weirdly formulated wave equation.
