Objectively speaking, are their any uses for the imperial system in a scientific context that actually makes doing conversions in science more convenient?

Thats the opposite of lifting. Your meme is backwards a soi.

Really? Lifting is inconvenient? From anime I get the impression that physical exercise is fun (at least once you have proper form n shiz)

Wrong, the imperial system requires much more mental thought to calculate and instilling it in young minds to work with it taxes their brains more heavily resulting in greater cognitive development. That's why France fell behind in the sciences following its revolution while Britain and Germans had the best and most productive period ever.

Yes, it's entirely practical. The only reason is because when industrial technology was first being developed in the US and the UK, the imperial system was the prevailing system in use at that time in those regions. All old industrial systems (trains, infrastructure, heavy machines/equipment, etc.) are designed to use that type of unit, and despite being up to 100+ years old in some cases, these machines are surprisingly still in use.

Using those units is easier when working with old equipment in the US, old equipment is common and still in use in many places. The gauges and sizes are based on these units, so if all the equipment you use is located in these areas, it's easier to use imperial, and there's been no point to spend all the money and time needed to convert everything.

I think imperial units make more sense from a memorization perspective. They are just all so distinct from each other. The metric system is so bland.

the argument is that imperial system units are more intuitive, easier to perceive, the metric system is more abstract from reality

Who cares? Science isnt the only place things are measured. Cooking, building, transporting, all these use non-metric measures for good reason. People who want everyone to use the same measurements are the same who want everyone to speak the same language. I personally never measure anything. Things are big, small, light, heavy, tall, short, etc. Besides, are you too much of a brainlet to know more than one way of measuring? Even rulers use multiple systems. Is OP dumber than a ruler?
