Does this unlock 100% efficient energy?

Friction from the wheels prevent motion of chain.

This is actually my favorite troll physics because it so convincingly seems to work

The picture is gives the game away in this version. The 'seal' should just be a dotted line, and there should be at least one red herring--maybe make the balls be half-filled with water so gravity pulls on the left-side too.

>> No.15199452

it doesnt work because the balls arent covered in oil

This guy knows his physics trolling

>> No.15199521

how are the balls pushed through the seal when the downward force on it is the weight of a solid cylinder of water above it and the upward force on the chain is only the weight of the water displaced by the balls?

>> No.15199565

>>15199521
see? it should just be an unlabeled, dotted line

>> No.15199749

You can’t convert heat to mechanical energy.

OPs box is implied to be a closed system thus it would have constant entropy and no way of converting heat to mechanical energy.

>> No.15201563

easy: just make it a continous air filled hose. makes keeping a seal easier too. dont forget to cover it in oil for extra upward force

>> No.15201569

fill the balls with helium or something and it might actually work.

in fact it won't, the state of the system will achieve equilibrium quite fast, and the generator/wheel has enough friction to combat even the very slight amount of torque the chain will put into the system. good effort though

maybe with hydrogen it will work. its twice as light, so you get twice as much boyancy
