Crazy person here (or so they tell me). I’ve always wondered why God chose to communicate with me, I assume that it’s because I’m attractive and very intelligent, a very rare combination. Not necessarily, not all schizos have hallucinations, and usually its not the primary problem either even if they happen. It's more that their internal thinking process is an incoherent mess, it's hard to make sense of what they are even talking about.

Neither is like the other.

Hallucinations is when the brain lacks the cognitive function or data to make meaningful observations. The most common is auditory hallucinations, as you fill in the blanks when hearing a sound. Most people train themselves unintentionally to stop perceiving shapes in the dark, which is a form of hallucination.

What is and isn't real is a function of continuity. If the continuity is messed up, you get weird logic lapses and failing to perceive events as they happen.
