Should I be panicking about bird flu?

Got the third birdster? Then no.

Yes, it's the next big plague. It has mutated enough to now spread from mammal-to-mammal and we're mammals, so do the math. Animal farming = plagues and more animal farming = more plagues and we're farming more animals than ever therefore we'll have more plagues than ever. Very simple arithmetic.

you're going to die in a few thousand days, panic about that.

If you're not already panicking about something else then yeah I'd say panic about that. I panicked about it for a bit, it was ok to panic about, but then I read about some asteroid that might come within 700,000mi of earth so I'm panicking about that instead

That depends, are you a bird?

The rich leftist elite agree. They are working hard at Wuhan and Harvard to engineer Covid Avian Flu Apocalypse.

You only had 3 boosters? Germ lover!

It'll either cross over and wipe out half the population, or it wont. There is no in between here. I would expect the worst personally, this shit is like a super plague in birds, it's wiping out a higher percentage of them than the 1918 flu did to people. It's everywhere, every continent minus Antarctica and contacting mammals/people daily, that's a biological powderkeg. God have mercy on us.

Bird flu is always a nothingburger. There have been literally dozens of bird flus that migrated to humans in recent history. Don't expect an avian-optimized virus to be worth a shit at infecting humans.

The thing is that it just needs to make a jump into any group of mammals, then from there the jump into humans will be easy. Sure avian influenza doesn't infect humans easily, but the exact same thing was said about literally every zoonosis in human history. The only silver lining is this highly pathogenic strain kills quickly and thus would be immediately apparent if it were in pigs or cows or something.
