Is interstellar travel impossible, practically speaking?
>inb4 von mememann probes
>inb4 memeration ships
Not that interested in those, but feel free to elaborate if you want.

it's active
>hyperdimensional mind over matter consciousness field

We probably are advanced enough to get to another star at ~1% the speed of light, but no one wants to do it because it would only get there after a human lifetime

>when we break down the vectors into scalars (shadow vectors or hypervectors), we immediately enter a vastly different, far more fundamental reality
>in this reality superluminal velocity, multiple universes, travel back and forth in time, higher dimensions, variation of all "fundamental constants" of nature, materialization and dematerialization, and violation of the "conservation of energy" are all involved
>using scalar waves and scalar interactions as much subtler, far less limited observation/detection mechanisms, we must have a new "superrelativity" to describe the expanded electromagnetic reality uncovered by Nikola Tesla

There isn't anything valuable up there so no. Spacecucks will argue >muh exploration >muh human spirit or whatever. But it's meaningless because there is no reason to go to space other than say you went to space.

Want to send robots or people with in a distance of less than 10 light years? Plausible.

After that it's not plausible due to time scale. Unless you figure out negative mass fields that don't irradiated the crew, or make a generation ship that will lasts longer than all of current known human history.

Impossible? Probably not, given that one of the larger project Orion space craft could reach 3% of light speed and that doesn't need any new technology. The real question is if its practical to do so, it may not be worth the effort once all things are taken into consideration.

If we can achieve travel at a considerable percentage of the speed of light interstellar travel would be possible. Generation ships wouldn't be necessary. As you travel closer to the speed of light you experience more time dilation and you seem to arrive at your destination sooner. A photon relative to it's own frame of reference technically arrives instantly to it's destination.
