Is /sci/ smart enough to beat the other boards 4chan?
We should be able to solve this.

We play against /k/ today at 2:40pm EST/ 7:40 UTC, /mu/ on Sunday at 3:20pm EST/ 8:20 UTC, and /gd/ next Saturday at 2:40pm EST/ 7:40 UTC
If we do well enough in the group stage we go onto the knockouts and secure our place in this summer's cup.

>what is this?
https://implyingrigged.info/wiki/2023_4chan_Winter_Cup
A virtual soccer (football) tournament involving the boards of 4chan, /sci/'s team is playing this winter

>we have a team?
Yes, its been around for over a decade

>Where can I watch the cup?

>where can I find out more about this?

I was never able to play soccer.
I would always tumble and fall on the ball, and no matter how much I ran, I would wheeze like I just ran a marathon.
It was hopeless.
I was out of my element.

You shouldn't be surprised because
A. It's the first day and
B. The streamer is less than professional

I disagree, there's the one streamer who's pretty fast and the match day ends a bit sooner than its supposed to, its a much better experience

>> No.15158444

>>15158435
I agree but your point doesn't contradict mine.
Even if a streamer is faster than another stramer, it's better for the schedule to be faster than the streamer. When a streamer is running behind schedule, people who show up at the scheduled time have to wait a bit for their match to start, and they can just go watch a video or whatever until then. Meanwhile, if a streamer is early then people who show up on time will have missed part of the prematch or even part of the match.
Thus, the time per match on the schedule needs to be set depending on the streamer's speed and slightly faster than he is.

We're on 3 points, if the game between /gd/ and /k/ goes to a draw we'll safe if we beat /mu/

You should be able to solve this did a good job of assisting, and the defense did well shutting down /k/'s attacks. If only that one Mochizuki shot didn't bounce off the inside of the goalpost

Any particular reason why you ask?
It would be pretty difficult to get 11 people for every team, much less getting them all to play simultaneously. Also it would lead to a bunch of un-fun esports tryharding.

I'm not a zoomer, but that cup operates on the implicit assumption that this isn't a hyper cometative esport where victorious managers get to stroke their dicks in front of everyone else. Winning is good and all and managers need put in the effort to do right by their boards and their boards' teams, its a meme soccer tournament, its not [math] that [/math] serious.
