Is eating fresh wild fish really as unhealthy as the scientists are saying?
Also whats the normal monthly consumption of contaminated water?

>> No.15133562

>>15133560
No. They are taking biased samples from the most polluted spots possible as part of the ongoing psyop to make people completely dependent on corporate goyslop and discourage them from getting food elsewhere.

If you're not living in trash house, none. No one drinks contaminated water in the US willingly.

Well in experiments, seagulls given mercury contaminated fish (which is a common pollutant in commercial fish as well) became gay, literally. They started treating other male seagulls as sexual partners and treated them the same they would with female seagulls. Mercury likely messes up the endocrine system causing homosexuality. Similar evidence in humans were excess estrogen exposure, or damage caused by chemical hormones to fetuses was linked to homosexuality later on so I bet endocrine disruption is the main pathway here.

If you eat fish every once in a while then it's probably not an issue but if you eat it often then you are also eating those pollutants. Just fish in a small natural pond or lake away from civilization. Fish your own fish, don't buy it, unless it's from a very trusted source and you know exactly where it's from.

depends on the lake/river and fish
some places are more contaminated than others (what a discovery!) and carnivorous fish will concentrate the toxins
>Also whats the normal monthly consumption of contaminated water?
you can look up EPA guidance for legal contamination limits and multiply that by your monthly water consumption

Yes, same shit with imbeciles who think that eating chickens who were raised in small "ethical" farms is more moral and healthy.

If you're concerned, most universities in the USA have agricultural extensions that can do cheap water testing on a sample you take from your local river/lake. They'll tell you exactly what's in it and how much. No need to guess. Some might also be able to test the fish meat itself for contaminants. Get in touch with them, ag extension people are good folks

This is great advice. In regards to >>15134971 this is true, but scare tactics like the OP are designed to make people less self-sufficient. You can easily prove that the fish you're catching is safe for consumption.

Sure, if your fish tests fine and isn't contaminated, then it's good to eat. But fish in many american waterways will not.

It depends on the waterway but even ocean fish have contaminants building up in them.

Fish like salmon are going to be healthier than tuna. The tuna lives longer and is an apex predator so bioaccumulates more toxins.

Good luck finding certified wild salmon anywhere. Also if it comes out of the Baltic, or Mediterranean I would not eat it.

Kickstart me and I will farm the cleanest fish possible. It's not that hard. Could probably even deliver frozen worldwide.

Sometimes humans get eaten by sharks too, or lions. They still sit at the top of the food chain, I'm not really interested in arguing semantics over "apex".

A more productive line of discussion would probably be arguing over whether or not the levels of contaminants are actually concerning.

Reddit spacing is a meme. I'm not writing a newspaper article. I'll space how I want.

It's a meme because I'm supposed to be adding a gap between paragraphs by accident or something right. Like, it's supposed to be unintentional.

Instead my spacing is intentional. The style is used on old-school gaming forums which have gone out of fashion since I was introduced to the internet.

I'm guessing you learnt your style of spacing paragraphs from an online chat platform like discord. That's what it reads like to me.

So all this stuff means something but the meme of it is an illusion.

Tldr: you are an idiot.

Ironically the style was drilled into me by other games with poor reading comprehension and short attention spans. An identical demographic to many posters here.

By breaking paragraphs up it separates points and makes ideas easier to understand.

The true irony is that the Reddit spacing meme is a psyop to dumb down conversation and disrupt the passage of uncensored information.

Memes are not just for fun.
