Has it been disproven or simply not proven? The original paper that kicked off interest in the connection has been rightfully retracted since it was pretty much garbage but that's not the same thing as being able to say the connection has been disproven. There is a rather strong correlation but of course there have been other changes over the same period with similarly strong correlations, even if less plausible theories as to how they could be causal.

You can't really ever prove the negative of a statement. I simply can't prove that there is no single instance of "autism" that could not have been possibly caused by vaccines. It doesn't help either that we have no clinical or medical test for autism, so the conversation is always bound to revolve around nothing. Do vaccines have side effects? yes. Do they cause autoimmune disorders? In some cases, yes. Can this autoimmune disorders be mistaken for "autism"? Likely yes. Is it autism then? No, it's an autoimmune disorder.

What I can state based on elementary statistical analyses, comparisons and cross-referencing is that 90-95 % of all autism diagnoses cannot be attributed to vaccines.

I think, we're missing the big picture it. Autism as it is understood today has nothing to do in practice with the concept of autism 30 years ago. The counter to this has always been that dietary intake of aluminum is much higher than in a single vaccine. The counter to that would be that aluminum is typically poorly absorbed from the digestive tract, and then more is removed from first pass through the liver, whereas vaccines lead to it entering directly into the blood stream. Plus the number of required vaccines is getting absurd.
