consciousness is one of the two primary modalities the self uses for self-realization, more specifically consciousness is the tool it uses for self-awareness (the other being the will, which is used for self-expression)

property of your brain, an illusion that is extremely strong on stupid people, to the point that most of the proles believe they are a soul placed in a body at random at birth, rather than their mind being nothing but an emergent property of their body, which could not exist without it
it's what you hear when you hear them say:

the mistake they are making here is not understand they are a lower class idiot rather than some abstract consciensousness that could have been born as anyone.

the common view (represented on the left) is the erroneous materialist notion that you consciousness (represented by the image you see on the bottom) is the result of your brain (represented by a brain) interpreting your sensory information (represented by the simplified electromagnetic waves, the red and blue ones)
in reality (represented on the right), the self (represented by the circumpunct) is primary, and it's from this that all else flows, first and foremost through the two primary modalities of the self, namely the will (represented by the muscular arm) and the consciousness (represented by the eye), which in turn results in everything you perceive, including bodies and brains (represented by the skull and brain inside the view)
