The claims religious people make include detailed descriptions of what happens, whereas the atheists claim that nothing happens. The default view of the afterlife is that it is unknown what happens. Babies for example have no opinion on the afterlife. So both religious and atheist clams need evidence because they are both only theories. The religious clams are certainly more fantastical which I think deters some people because it's like an entire world view built on assumptions as opposed to the atheist assumption that gods don't exist

I'm not that well versed in this stuff, but it seems to me these various apologists from different denominations and even different religions all make some sort of argument that leads to deism, and they don't seem to be able to bring it back to their own denomination

basically they conclude some god has to be there, and it's my god cause that's the religion I was born into or converted into in select cases

also one observation I make when I look at intelligent christians, I don't think they literally believe in their religion, I get the feeling it's some sort of spiritual framework they use to base their lives around because they don't think you should only be beholden to enlightenment values and have everything be filtered only through your own rational onions understanding
