Economics is a pseudo science and I am wasting my potential. I've got no CS-related background experience. What do?

What kind of computer science work do you want to do? Just that sometimes people want to be a programmer and for a lot of programming jobs you don't need a degree so you can bypass doing the degree and save a heap of time and money

I am hoping to get into fields that are actually impactful like AI and ML.

can you get into a CS masters with your other masters ? Just that I don't think they teach a lot of AI/ML in undergrad computer science. It might have changed though. I guess you could find out from the course outline. Maybe you could get a job with some kind of certification like this one from microsoft

I guess look at teh job ads around your area. AI/ML tends to have a fair bit of programming too, typically with python or R, so you could go that route and build up a portfolio of AI/ML projects yourself and bypass the degree. They usually want someone proficient with statistics though which could be the part that hard to get past without some kind of qualification, i'm not sure.

nobody cares about your previous degree unless you're working for some huge accounting company that wants an accountant that knows programming, not the other way around
