Not worth the drastic worsening of simplicity and potential vehicle stresses (which make it even more expensive to maintain) when you can achieve the same new results by simply scaling up the diameter, fuel, and engine amounts. Stacked concentric rings are easier than complex shapes that don't really serve a greater purpose in the first place

The problem with every fan design for the next SpaceX vehicle is they are solution ideas looking for applications to real-world logic, where they should be real-world logic looking for solution ideas

I think you're failing to account for how friggin' huge the internal usable volume of Starship actually is. HLS Starship dedicates 5 full ring sections worth of volume to crew area and another 3 ring sections (tapering conically) up to the forward docking port. That's 24 meters tall by 8 meters across (internal). Crew Dragon2 is 4 meters across and 8.1 meters tall. Usable volume is a bit smaller than that. Starship is 2.5x wider than that and 3x taller than that, for internal reusable volume.
>The interior of Starship HLS is going to look like an austere Crew Dragon cabin filled with stuff (like the ISS), with a basic airlock underneath.
Yeah, no faggot. The volume difference is massive. 2 people are going to have 2.5x the usable volume of the ISS for HLS Starship. ISS is 15,000 cubic feet. HLS Starship internal habitable volume is 35,0000 cubic feet. Its going from a car to luxury private jet or a yacht.

I remember that this came from a translation error in Isaiah 14:12, from hebrew to latin. Lucifer, originally "Belel al Shahar" meaning son of morning, never even meant the devil.
The whole thing was a prophet's scolding of a Babylonian king, named after Venus a.k.a. the Morning Star.

be the change you want to be.
>It had been assumed that all three galaxies, collectively cataloged as Arp 248, are interacting, but more recent investigations reveal that only the brightest two galaxies are sparring gravitationally: the big galaxies at the top and bottom. The spiral galaxy in the middle of the featured image by the Hubble Space Telescope is actually far in the distance, as is the galaxy just below it and all of the other numerous galaxies in the field. A striking result of these giants jousting is a tremendous bridge of stars, gas, and dust that stretches between them -- a bridge almost 200,000 light-years long. Light we see today from Wild's Triplet left about 200 million years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. In perhaps a billion years or so, the two interacting galaxies will merge to form a single large spiral galaxy.

>SpaceX Employees Say They Were Fired for Speaking Up About Elon Musk
>Charges filed with federal regulators accuse the company of retaliating against eight workers over an open letter critical of the chief executive.
>In June, about 20 engineers were invited to a meeting hosted at the headquarters of the rocket manufacturer SpaceX.But the meeting, which has not been previously reported, quickly became heated. They said Jon Edwards, the vice president leading the meeting, had characterized the letter as an extremist act and declared that the writers had been fired for distracting the company and taking on Mr. Musk. When asked whether the chief executive could sexually harass his workers with impunity, Mr. Edwards did not appear to answer, the two employees said. But they said the meeting had a recurring theme — that Mr. Musk could do whatever he wanted at the company. “SpaceX is Elon and Elon is SpaceX,” the two recalled hearing Mr. Edwards declare.
>Many of the roughly 11,000 employees who work at SpaceX do so because of the rocket maker’s mission. That mission, however, has sometimes been undercut by distractions from their chief executive, several of the former employees who filed the labor charges said in interviews. Mr. Musk has openly railed against politicians and government agencies that have say over federal contracts.
>The SpaceX letter ultimately led to the firing of nine workers, according to the employees and their lawyers. On Wednesday, unfair-labor-practice charges were filed with the National Labor Relations Board on behalf of eight of those workers, arguing that their firings were illegal.

>The controversy also engulfed Gwynne Shotwell, SpaceX’s president and chief operating officer, whom many employees said they had regarded as an ally.
>The letter-writing proceeded along two tracks. One occurred on the workers’ personal software and was visible only to a few dozen employees. The other happened on a collaboration platform visible to anyone at SpaceX
>Within hours, Ms. Shotwell sent Mr. Moline and Ms. Holland-Thielen an email [...] “Please stop flooding employee communication channels immediately,” Ms. Shotwell wrote in her email, on which she copied senior company officials. She added: “I will consider your ignoring my email to be insubordination. Instead, please focus on your job.”
>Ms. Shotwell emphasized that the workers had wasted vast amounts of company time.
>“I thought she was doing a good job protecting and advocating for us against some of the worst impulses that Elon and others might have had,” Mr. Moline said. “Finally realizing that she wasn’t that savior — that broke down the trust for me.”

So apparently FH can do more than 8 tons. Probably something around 12. What exactly is stopping SpaceX from, say, launching a 25 - 30 ton payload to LEO and then subsequently launching second stages that are modified to hold end to end like a train of boosters (other than cost, obviously)? If done right before a Mars transfer window it could probably get a larger mass to Mars, with each set of added stages expending and detaching when they run out of propellant
