Tao by no means is bad mathematician, but he's certainly not one of the best. I dislike when people talk about all his fluffed out achievements like they're something special, they're not. He's known for providing some services to other mathematicians in solving problems, but the breadth of his knowledge means that he'll probably never solve any real conjectures which are important.

And yet when white people are over represented in science or academia, this is taken as proof of "systemic racism" and of some sort of covert agenda to keep minorities suppressed and to maintain global white supremacy. Maybe white people or Jewish people are over-represented because of historical and economic factors - for instance the fact that European nations tend to be more wealthy and prosperous than the rest of the world, and have been for a few centuries. Perhaps there are also culture and social differences between different races and ethnicites. And perhaps - god forbid - different humans populations exhibit varying levels of interest and capacity for certain activities - for example, maybe Jewish people or European people are more or less inclined than other groups towards math.

How come when Jews are over-represented in math and science, this is evidence that they're simply more 'nerdy' and intellectual and, there culture just values education - and similar things are said about Asian Americans - but when Whites excel in science this has nothing to do with a culture that values creativity and knowledge, but is rather taken as clear cut proof that white people are racist and they have too much control and influence?

Not that these aren't problems like the Riemann hypothesis or anything, they're just intermediate steps in a larger proof which the mathematicians got to a roadblock they don't want to spend the time to solve on. Yes, of course, that's my entire point. There are a variety of factors that can lead to over-representation of different groups in different contexts, and to assume that over-representation of white people is entirely attributable to racism is just ridiculous, but woke leftists will make precisely this claim - namely that white people are only over-represented in science (and philosophy, classical music, literature, art, law, humanities, etc.) because of racism and white supremacy. Anyone who is being intellectually honest would be willing to acknowledge that socioeconomic factors, personal taste, cultural values, and ethnic background/ethnic difference all play some sort of a role. However, woke leftists will claim that white people are no different from any other race (while simultaneously claiming that Jews are different in that they tend to value intelligence and education), and that the difference in scientific achievement between white people and other populations is entirely attributable to racism, white supremacy, and privilege. I certainly think agree that Western/European over-representation in the arts and science is partially attributable to the fact that we have been more wealthy and powerful than the rest of the world simply due to geography and historical happenstance, but I also think that cultural and ethnic difference certainly play a role as well. These are not incompatible claims, and I'm not trying to make a value judgement or claim that white people are smarter or more intelligent. I think there are probably many variables at play, and different populations probably have a number of advantages and disadvantages across a range of variable the influence scientific and intellectual achievement.

I suspect that when it comes to Asian and Jewish academic achievement, to some extent it's simply because they're intellectual gigachads. However, it's a very complex and multivariate phenomenon, so there's also going to be social and historical factors besides just intelligence which also give them an advantage.

They're a very active community and have been ensuring that they don't mix in with the rest of the population for decades.
They're literally more extremists than any other religion, they impose rules most people don't know about and are too scared to point out anyway. Their kids are always sent to jewish schools, they never ever play and socialize with other kids, and if they do it's kept at a maximum. Once adults they stay very connected to each other, they all aim for high positions and then help each other get what they want.
I live in Switzerland and I know for a fact from a jewish coworker that real estates literally will favor other jews and give them preferable housing at the best cost possible while charging triple to the average guy. They all live in relatively close and clustered neighborhood also.
But the thing they're really good at is keeping all of this as discrete as possible. They push each other to succeed and don't accept mediocrity within their community, the kids just have no choice but to get to good schools whether they're actually smart or not. I wouldn't be surprised if they steal papers / patents and shit like that too.
