Some time ago i asked if one could emulate an Einstein using 1000 graduates of Calcutta Institute of Engineering in some structured way to think in parallel. To break hard problems in many simpler problems, if possible.
The idea was to create a high effective intelligence from many simpler ones.
Without such a process i see a limit to human research. The limitation is time. A smart fellow may need to study hard 20 years to reach the "edge" of modern research, eventually it will take 30 years by which time the brain has already aged.

The OP pic *is* the simplest way to go about it. Just because you're too much of a lazy faggot to study the underlying terms and systems doesn't mean scientists have to spoonfeed you or stop researching because YOU don't understand it. Watch the black science man if you want it all diluted down to your fucking level but don't expect to be able to do research with that "knowledge".

Such is the fate of /sci/. Too dumb to understand actual physics and too proud to admit they're no different than the popsci basedjaks they like to mock.

Are the big letters scary? Are you too retarded to understand it so you dismiss it as useless? Typical midwit behaviour when you put them to do real science instead of watching pop-sci videos

It's all a bunch of bullshit the writers (and readers for the journals) know jack shit about. Look at how the Bogs got an utterly nonsense string theory paper published in a respectable journal - peer review readers couldn't even tell the difference between valid string theory and bog hogwash.

>> No.14869295

This is condensed matter theory, classification of (imagined) phases of matter.
CMT/ST means condensed matter theory / string theory, there is a dictionary of related math between them but this is not meant to be about fundamental strings
SPT is a symmetry-protected topological phase, which is something condensed matter theorists made up to give themselves something to do after they classified regular topological phases of matter
If you understand classical spin models like the Ising model it would take 1-2 years to learn all that goes into this page

The paper is written by Urs Schreiber who, by the way, exposed the Bog affair. You're retarded.

you've got the bog affair all wrong. all of string theory is fraudulent, the bogs attempted to publicize that fact and the bogs were then excommunicated by the academics for the sin of exposing academic fraud at the (supposedly) highest level of academia. (((Schreiber ))) could have written the same exposé of anyone in string theory and would have with anyone didn't go along with the scam. most people in academia are not born with the wealth the bogs had, so they are easy to keep in check by threatening their paychecks, the bogs had so such weakness so they were not as easily influenced, so the corrupt academics colluded to have the bogs ostracized from academia.
academics pull the same trick on dr. malone recently, they did the same to mullis and lot of others too.
this is the type of behind the scenes activity that takes place in order to keep to reproducibility crisis burning hot. if the frauds were not able to use the peer review system to ostracize and silence dissenters then the fraudulent scientists would all be exposed for what they are and dawn would shine on a new golden age of science.

To be fair, Urs is doing his physics (most of it only he knows) in the presence of mathematicians who themselves work in very out-there topics. While Schulman is more of a big name, and while Baez is well-known due to his writing, all his other lads can genuinely be called on the fringe.
