We use words for meanings while numbers are the words in themselves for some meanings

Math beyond maybe 4th grade arithmetic is useless (to 99% of adults), math education teaches you to memorize and apply algorithms over and over in very slightly different circumstances with high accuracy. Basically what I'm saying is that when you're doing algebra you're actually learning to cook a Big Mac.
