The field of longevity research and transhumanism in general is part of the satanic-gnostic effort to collapse the distinction between heaven and earth, i.e. build a "heaven" (actually hell) on earth.

Well, I suppose that's your intepretation.
I was going to say it's more like a cult of grifters and scam-artists that lie and cheat to steal $Trillions from Public Funds and Private Investors.

Everything you said is obvious to most /sci/ enthousiasts.
Except your last point about all scientists being dumb but that's just you being retarded.
So what is your point ?

We should stop being interested in science and become religious nuts or conspiracitards ? Our life will get better if we become delusional ?

The people in my family usually live past 90.

>you will die from either heart attack - cancer - organ failure - alzheimers. in this order
You mean the most common causes of death are likely to be my cause of death? Shocker.

Unless it was an accident, no, you didn't. You've seen old people that you thought were healthy, that appeared healthy, but they were not at all. When people get very old (animals too), they become fragile, and something very small can set of a complete collapse of bodily functions that precipitates very quickly, in days or hours. Often there will be no sign this is going to happen. The previous day they will be walking around (albeit probably with assistance), talking, laughing, eating, pooping - all the normal hallmarks of human existence. Then the next morning they piss blood and go to the hospital. Kidneys are failing. Soon after, liver starts failing. Respiratory system starts failing. Circulatory system starts failing. Medication keeps them docile and in no pain, but they're in a fugue state, hallucinating and talking gibberish. By evening, they're totally unconscious, barely breathing, and the family makes the decision to turn of life-support. Sometime in the wee morning hours, a nurse check reveals they are dead. Alternately, they're sent home to die in bed or a recliner. Same result but it's family member who finds them.

Collapse always is like this. Slowly over years and years and years, and then all at once. A living thing is very good at maintaining itself, until it suddenly isn't.

...Said by a guy who's probably never even gone on a daylong hiking trip. Or just a stroll.
