does a rotationally symetric 6 set venn diagram design exist? i keep on seeing pics of 5 and 7 set venn diagrams that are pretty and symmetrical but never 6 set ones. can someone smarter than me and with more time see if you can make one?

I tried modifying a 5 set venn diagram like this - the area around the outside is a yellow region, you can make it a circle if you wish. I did this on my phone sorry it's messy, I can try doing it properly on my computer but I don't see why this method won't produce a valid venn diagram.

I think if you delete one set from that 7-set Venn diagram, you would get a 6-set symmetric diagram. However, you might get enclaves (e.g. two AB regions which are disconnected), and the shapes would be slightly unnecessarily complex.

Interesting question, I can't get my head around why it doesn't seem possible. I came across this, which looked promising until actually inspecting the shapes.

do you also impose the requirement that each of the 6 shapes can't have a hole in it (like the yellow region in >>14792599 )?

Found this paper: https://webhome.cs.uvic.ca/~ruskey/Publications/SixVenn/SixVenn.html
I get the impression it's not possible for reasons that are trivial to people that actually know what they're talking about.

no

think about hexagons tiling a plane and it should be clear why

The fuck does that have to do with it?

NO.
that is an amoeba orgy.
For graphing complex relationships, humans use interconnected lattices.

The hexagons, they tile the plane

Yeah but does it have what planes crave?
