machine learning was never a niche hobby it has been supported with billions of dollars in funding from the state and giant corporations like IBM and AT&T for over 50 years now. Coding also isn't a niche hobby, or it has not been since the 70's.

It has a hobby side and an industry side, there are people who do machine learning or coding as a hobby and don't work in that area the same way there are people who do mechanic work as a hobby even though it's also potentially a job
And I can confirm the hobby side of coding has been overtaken by trannies
