First of all... Did /x/ and /b/ come onto /sci/ because I'm seeing a lot of content that should be there on here.

Second, I had a question about Communication. Animal and Human communication. You see all these people claiming they can speak with their animal, verbally, hold discussions, but I would like some real documentation. Sure house pets are much more intelligent than most people give them credit for, but is it possible for them to verbally communicate as people claim, or is it just an instance of audio mimicry, like parrots?

tl:dr
Talking house pets, real?

Alright, thats fair.
But its a semi-legitimate question. I've wondered about the animal brain for a while, it seems like a reasonable question to ask.

I have had a lot of pets and no, they are not capable of spoken communication, except for whatever the various pronunciations of "miaw" give you. However animals do obviously have thoughts and feelings and you can feel them empathetically. Also, tripping around pets is fun because you feel like you can understand their thoughts, just like you can with people. A+++ would drop acid again.

Shiiiit, man, that's a brilliant idea. Next time I come by some acid I'm totally dropping it with my dog

Of course there's human-animal communication. You tell Fido, "Fetch," he goes and gets the stick.

Next question.
