We're not going to know for a long time. Research priorities won't go in a direction that might end up embarrassing politicians, elected or appointed. And even after data starts to accumulate at such high levels that they can't be restricted from getting around, there are many vested interest that will shower FUD all over the facts. For those who have received the injections, the difficult part now is whether or not they're going to be needed on a regular basis forever. The body making a couple of batches of spike proteins to stimulate the immune system wouldn't have been a big deal but if the injections must continue on a semi-annual (or more frequent) basis forever, that's a lot of spike proteins creating damage that will accumulate.
