What? We never had commercial hypersonic flights. The fastest production aircraf was sr71, it was nowhere near hypersonic, it was difficult and expensive to fly, it could only be justified by the military use and it definitely is not coming back.

concorde failed because juan trippe was ousted from the presidency of pan am. the noise complaints were only justifiable in the context of concorde being a foreign project, trippe's loss of sway at pan am is what made concorde into a foreign project. trippe had ordered concorde in order to prove that there was a domestic us market for ssts, which in turn justified the boeing 2707 project, when trippe was kicked out of pan am that ended ssts.
in the half century since, air transportation has not advanced at all, the 747, also built at trippe's orders is still pretty much the peak of technology.
like so many other thinks, progress came to a screeching halt in about 1971 or so.

That is just the top speed of the second testing prototype (first being Spike), future planes will be much faster than this. We have never had commercial hypersonic transports, OP simply mispoke
