Not what I wanted to hear, though I fear you may be correct.

It will be possible as soon as man has developed past the need of base instincts like greed for motivation. Once people can grasp a greater scope and have a unifying purpose as a species, they can make a money-less society possible.

Work will be done for the sake of the work. Resources will be delivered for the sake of providing those resources. Things will be done because everyone understands and accepts the need for it.

But with this mankind? No. This mankind would ravage the whole planet just for 2 cents profit.

Thing is, don't really want to work. Maybe doing something creative, but nothing tedious -- nothing a really good machine built for the purpose couldn't do better.

Not going to happen. Energy, etc. Best thing we can hope for is raising the bar for what is considered scarce (in the way that the western world no longer considers clean water and food scarce), but that will just raise people's expectations with it.
