Engineers are socially retarded gays, so they are repulsed by a large gay community.

Of course Tennessee isn't very gay friendly, it's full of faggot engineers!

This is like saying

"States least friendly with illegal immigrants: Texas and Arizona" and implying that because of that, they have no illegals.

the gay engineers meme was created because people who consider their majors to be more of a "true science" than engineering have to get a phd to make half as much money as undergrad engineers.

the butthurt flows through math and physics majors so they start any job I want 300k starting threads to close a perceived wage gap and take every possible chance to discredit engineers, much like women like to bitch and moan about their wage gap. it's sad really.

Notice how it all comes in a single waves of repetitive fail. One loser trying so hard, you almost have to feel a little sorry for him.
Here's Milhouse, he commiserates with problems trying to force a meme.

I thought it was created primarily because engineering has traditionally been a "conservative" profession, so many engineers are likely to get irked when some anon makes a comment about their sexuality.

Some of them also regard engineering as more important than science, seeing the latter as a necessary tool (often for the purpose of obtaining worldly wealth). These notions can also be considered trollworthy.

As a fairly liberal engineer, I think the meme is funny when used sparingly. It gets kind of stale when threads are saturated with it. Remember OVER 9000?

It's also entirely possible that the meme was started by a fool. mystery.jpg
