This movie will be seen as prophetic.

Resentful people are now as I speak trying to derail the manned space program because it's no longer the exclusive of hand picked NASA employees & it's now the realm of who has the money.

A few short years ago even if you had the money to go to space you couldn't go onto the ISS, so that equalized things in the minds of poor salty lefties.

They were hoping for some star trek fantasy, but look at how filthy their minds are with the Picard series. Look at how Star Trek has degenerated from viewing drug addiction as something to be cured to something to idolize.

Mark Shuttleworth paid $20 million to go to ISS.

Lori Garver was going to do the same but it's likely that this Iranian women took her seat from under her.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anousheh_Ansari

>Anousheh Ansari (Persian: انوشه انصاری; née Raissyan;[2] born September 12, 1966) is an Iranian American engineer and co-founder and chairwoman of Prodea Systems. Her previous business accomplishments include serving as co-founder and CEO of Telecom Technologies, Inc. (TTI).

>The Ansari family is also the title sponsor of the Ansari X Prize. On September 18, 2006, a few days after her 40th birthday, she became the first Iranian and first female Muslim in space.[3] Ansari was the fourth overall self-funded space tourist, and the first self-funded woman to fly to the International Space Station. Her memoir, My Dream of Stars, co-written with Homer Hickam, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2010.[4]

>She is the CEO of the X Prize Foundation.[5]

So now Lori Garvner belittles Musk's efforts and publicly says that SpaceX isthe equivalent of a Lambo for musk even though she was supportive of companies such as his in the past.

That movie was a mediocre attempt at social commentary. I suggest The Expanse for a more realistic take on the future.

Regardless, I agree Earth will become an overpopulated shithole and the go getters will be the ones going to space or Mars.

They do not. Perhaps in the future, but years pass and so do all those failed ambitious predictions of automatics takeover. It won't be anytime soon.
