Guys I fucked up and pitched my idea in the launch thread, so here's how far we got.

We dig a "pitt" in the Bocca,
We put the cranes in "the pitt"
We have the cranes battle it out in "the pitt" after hours
The crane operators will be called "Craniators", which will be epic as fuck
We have a game mode that's called sudden death, when one of the cranes destroys the bilge pump
There will be pickups (the truck kind) Cranes who destroy a pickup get an old SN prototype that'S filled with napalm that can manually be used as a ballisitc missile
He who wins can watch NGE with Elon for one night
There is a Battle Royale mode with a lot of cranes so the adhd kids buy mars tickets
we have a champion that's battling outside craniators (that'S right, you can bring your crane down to Bocca and battle it out in an epic brawl
Spot dogs will also be in "the pitt" and do adorable things of some nature.
It will be called "cranibal cranetacular cranarge"
We ask Jessi if she can do the commentator and we make her say "SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY LET THE CRANIBAL CRANETACULAR CRANARGE BEGIN"

I think everyone knows that wearing a mask when standing alone in an open field is a waste of time. But it's not as much of a waste of time as making 20 posts to argue about it over the internet.
And anyone who calls masks "face diapers" is an NPC.

There really isn't, and this has been repeatedly explained to you. I'm sorry you're too stupid to understand masks are contextual, and not simply "me am NPC, me am wear mask always". Alone in a field is not an appropriate context for wearing a mask, unless you're wearing it simply to conform.

Yep of course. But when you are in front of an audience of 10,000+ people, it's good to promote public health practices, even if they are unnecessary for you in the current moment.

If Tim gets 1/10th of his audience to wear a mask when they SHOULD wear them, just by wearing one when he technically doesn't have to, it's a huge win in my book.

Rockets were a bit too toasty for what the software was expecting, so the software decided to play safety cuck and shut down.

>> No.12783206

>>12783163
Software checks for amount of thrust raptor is generating when its relit and tries to determine if its within limits. They were previously using a conservative limit, lets say for example 10%.

So if a raptor is supposed to hit thrust of "1" and it hits "1.11" then thats 11% and not 10%, so system shutsdown. If they raise the limit to 1.15 and the raptor fires to 1.11, then its within the new limit. The tolerance threshold of 10% is completely arbitrary for my example.

Can't help but feel like this sort of shit slows down the pace of things attempting to appease computer algorithms when back in the 60's they'd just wing it and shit would mostly end up fine, I wonder how many flights of Mercury, Gemini, Saturn would have led to pad aborts if similar over conservative computer algorithms were in place back then yet they flew just fine
