Does antimatter travel backwards in time relative to us? Why is there an unequal amount of matter and antimatter in the universe?

Yeah I also rewatched EVA recently

Tell me the truth, why is regular matter more abundant than anitmatter?

>> No.12761318

>>12761287
there is evidence that it has to do with a real observed effect called CP violation (hahaha CP grow up). for example there is an asymmetry in the decay of neutral kaons where it preferentially wants to turn into matter instead of antimatter, and this is the essence of CP violation . this mechanism could explain why there is more matter than antimatter

Is it possible that the anitmatter created during baryogenesis simply went backwards in time?

Is there a way to observe CP violation from a distance? Does it emit photons with specific energies?

just look up the cronin and fitch experiment. it’s a particle physics experiment meaning that they do it with big ol detectors, not some microscopic chemistry crap

Is the reverse of this true as well then? Is there antimatter particles that when fused would prefer to become matter?

>> No.12761561 [DELETED]

>>12761543
well, the neutral kaon in this experiment is its own antiparticle, so the fact that the reverse is is the same particle is the essence of CP violation. i bet there are CP violation experiments that might show some antimatter preference as opposed to latter preference as in the kaon version, but the fact that there is an asymmetry is what is important.

note that if you do a CPT reversal, then going backward in time the kaon prefers antimatter. but CPT basically can’t be violated
