Generally speaking, does pushing your brain to its limit develop it or damage it in the long run?

While studying over the weekend, my brain broke down and I've had a 3 day long headache. It's not really a pain, but my thinking feels impaired and brain physically tired.

It could result in minor damage since it increases stress. You should take a break every once in a while to rest.

I imagine it is how a muscle works, you break it temporarily after you push it past its limit. But then it restores itself and its strength is increased.

more thinking is good - lack of sleep will make you temporarily retarded but you cant think too much and become brain-damaged for real.
the headache probably has to do with stress and sleep deprivation, not stretching your brain tendons too hard.

Were you staring at a screen the whkke time? I once had a headache so long and painful that I went to the doctors, I was like 8 years old. Apparently I had super bad eye strain from just staring at a screen playing Scooby-Doo with my dad on GameCube for like 24 hours straight.

Yeah I was, but it's been a long time since I had a screen induced headache. My blue light filtering glasses help a lot, my eyes don't hurt at all when I have to work for 12+ hours in the computer

focusing your eyes on the same point will have a bad effect on you either way. I've had a friend accidentally stare at one point for a long ass time and he legit fainted because of that. Not sure how that works but id izz wat id izz.

If you think unapproved thoughts and start talking about them, (((they))) are going to send woke people to harass you.

Had the same. It's pretty similar to physical workouts. Overdo it, and your muscles tear. If you train carefully, slowly, and with attention to your bodily needs, it's beneficial.

Oxidative stress and the role of neuronal mitochondria is something you should research.
