depends on what you define by "meaning" I guess. As a particle physicist, I don't really care. The math shows you what particles and quantum fields are and how they behave. Trying to derive meaning from an English-language description of particle physics is like trying to study Shakespeare in Chinese. Sure you might get the gist of it, but you'll lose all the subtlety.
