Literature or arts at least marginally engage you with national culture, even though the curriculum got subverted hard.
Sociology, in my opinion, is the worst degree you could sign up for. Even in my Eastern Europe part of the world studying sociology is just a communist/ class-struggle/ biased school of thought at this point, heavy propaganda.
If someone really wants sociology he or she should study alone and stay away from universities, or at least lean towards an anthropology degree if it's available. Anthropology is more focused on history and less on abstract constructions. It's still pozzed but marginally better than sociology.

Most sociology degrees carry some classes dedicated to gender studies. But a good answer nevertheless

I’d have to say something in safety from personal experience. Did my time in .mil for about 6 years and 3 years and a pandemic later I’m making six figures with no degree as a corporate guy. All I do is write reports that say “uh don’t stick you fingers in moving machinery dummy” and then read and educate myself on actually interesting stuff. And by educate I mean shitpost on here about quantum immortality.

math obviously. liberal arts majors typically see STEM majors as smarter, only math majors pick math because they think it makes them smart even though they'd be better off majoring in something more employable and studying math on the side. they meme that fields like CS are trivial but almost none of them actually do anything outside of their coursework and they graduate having no passion for math, barely knowing any math, and with no job prospects besides posting on 4chan about how CS is inferior to math.
