Biggest issue with hydrogen fuel cells is that it's literally a bomb you're sitting on. This is probably much safer than that and if the power density claims are true, much more marketable.

i believed hydrogen to be a bad alternative until this paste
i already posted about it in /o/
the biggest question is how much it will cost to be a true alternative for everyone
it´s also unknown where all the magnesium is supposed to come from to make enough paste for enough people

entire countries are betting on hydrogen (germany) to be the future and until now hydrogen was a shit choice. it is unsafe to handle and a crash can end in a fireball or explosion. a huge pressure tank was also needed. now a german institute developed this paste that only releases the hydrogen at a very high temperature so it´s safe to use AND it has a way bigger hydrogen concentration than the gas itself. it can store 10 times the energy of a battery and this is fucking huge. the hype is real but where do you get the magnesium for it? how much will it cost to be competitive? there are still questions to be answered but this paste is fucking amazing
